Flaxseed oil health benefits

Control weight and blood sugar levels

The dietary fiber in flaxseeds can facilitate digestion, delay the absorption of sugar, reduce appetite, and help control weight.

Repair cells and manage eczema symptoms

Omega-3 and Omega-6 are important components of cell membranes and help cell growth and repair. Alpha-linolenic acid also has anti-inflammatory effects and can effectively reduce inflammation.

Lower cholesterol

Flaxseeds are rich in plant sterols, which can effectively block the intestinal absorption of cholesterol. The water-soluble dietary fiber in flaxseeds can block the absorption of fat in the intestines and effectively lower the cholesterol levels in the blood.

Enhance digestive functions

Flaxseeds contain insoluble dietary fiber which can speed up the digestive process and relieve constipation problems. The water-soluble dietary fiber in flaxseeds can also form a sticky gel to relieve constipation problems. These two types of dietary fibers can help the intestine create a favourable environment suitable for the growth of good bacteria, effectively improving the digestive system.

Healthy Brunch

Food pairing

2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil with a balanced diet are recommended for adults daily intake. It is also suitable for vegetarians, fitness enthusiasts, people who eat less deep-sea fish, children and the elderly.

Flaxseed oil can be added to smoothies, yogurt or salads to replace salad oil, which is as refreshing as it is healthy. It can be added to oatmeal, porridge, coffee or spread on bread for breakfast.

People who are taking blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs prescribed by a doctor should consult their doctor before taking flaxseed oil. Same for those taking hormone therapy or having hormone-sensitive cancers.

Storage recommendation
